At its June meeting the GEMN Board unanimously elected its leadership team for 2026-27:
• The Rev. Dr. Nancy Searby, Deacon at St. Francis Church in Great Falls, Virginia, is GEMN’s new President. She is involved in her parish’s companionship with the Diocese of Ezo in South Sudan. Nancy is a Global Mission Advocate and the Episcopal Relief & Development Ministry Partner for the Diocese of Virginia. She previously served as GEMN Vice President.
• The Rev. Dr. Paul Rajan, Rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Wantage, N.J., is Vice President. Paul chairs the Global Mission Commission of the Diocese of Newark, which is in companionship with the Diocese of Gitega in Burundi. He has extensive mission background in India and New Zealand. He previously served as GEMN’s President.
• The Rev. Sister Sarah Margaret Randall, SSM, continues as Secretary. She has experience of mission service in Haiti and coordinated the Diocese of Massachusetts’ link with the Diocese of Tanga in Tanzania. Sarah is Director of Associates for the Society of St. Margaret, the women’s monastic order located in Duxbury, Mass., which has worked in Haiti since 1927.
• Mr. Bill Kunkle of the Diocese of Southwest Florida continues as Treasurer. He is Executive Director of the Province IX Development Group and former leader of the Dominican Development Group. Bill is a member of St. Mark’s Church in Tampa, where he runs Kunkle Contracting, Inc.
