MISSIO, THE ANNUAL GLOBAL MISSION CONFERENCE

Attend Missio to be strengthened by mission companionship in community.

Missio, the annual Global Mission Conference that GEMN convenes, is an opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about mission, be inspired by gifted speakers, and learn and grow through small-group discussions.  You’ll be able to gather resources to take back to your congregation, diocese, seminary, or mission agency as you continue to discern how God is sending you out into a hurting world.

Missio is held in the Second Week after Easter each year.

Missio 2025 will be held in San Pedro Sula in the Diocese of Honduras, April 29-May 2!  Save the dates and stay tuned for registration details.  The Mission Formation Program will be held in tandem with Missio, April 28-29.

Future Missio dates:

2026: April 16-18 in the Diocese of Lexington

2027, April 6-8, venue TBD

History of the Missio conferences, 1996-2026

Missio, the annual Global Mission Conference for the Episcopal Church, has been a core initiative of GEMN since 1996, creating a dedicated space for gathering mission-minded dioceses, mission agencies, congregations, religious orders, seminaries and individuals to learn, discern and exchange best practices for global mission engagement. Recently, we have sought to hold the conference outside of the continental US once every three years, so far in Colombia, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.  Beginning in 2025, the standard timing of Missio will be Wednesday-Friday in the Second Week of Easter.
