- Interesting and useful material from the diocesan website: There are two diocesan web links of interest:
- http://www.diomass.org/mission/global_partnerships and
- http://www.missiongoal.org/
- The Diocese does not follow the national model of diocese-to-diocese covenants due to the fact that they have 190 churches, but encourage parish-to-parish partnerships. They have deacons assigned to global missions - Global Mission Partnerships, AIDS in Africa and Palestinian issues. Each of their three bishops is assigned to a mission area providing general support for global mission activities.
- There are several long and short term individual missioners in Central and South America, Africa, the Caribbean and the Middle East. The global Mission Partnership Task Force has organized a well attended training day to coincide with their Diocesan Resource Day, developed a mission brochure, strengthened a website http://www.missiongoal.org/, developed an e-newsletter, documenting a medical missions model and a financial management model.
- Facilitated mission leadership trips to Tanzania and Ecuador and also to Palestine/Israel in June 2009.
