The Global Episcopal Mission Network (GEMN) is an organization open to all individuals, organizations and dioceses who have determined to share prayers, ideas, dreams, hopes, and strategies about Global Mission. As a network, GEMN consists of individuals, organizational representatives, and designated diocesan representatives who are committed to sharing mission information and promoting mission. Members are eligible to run for and serve on the GEMN Board, which normally meets three times a year, once just before the Annual Meeting. Click here to see the list (PDF) of the current board.

GEMN InstituteThe Annual Meeting is held in conjunction with the GEMN Educational Institute, the major gathering of GEMN Bishops, Representatives, and interested individuals. Each GEMN Institute has a particular focus, but every Institute has the same goal - to provide a context for sharing of mission concerns among those attending.

The Global Episcopal Mission Network undertakes particular projects on behalf of its membership or for the whole church. One project has been the development of the GEMN Handbook and other resources available on the website. GEMN also publishes FACETS Newsletter (PDF), in which are articles, reviews and longer thought pieces of interest to mission minded dioceses.

The Global Episcopal Mission Network is governed by By-Laws (PDF) which are part of our articles of incorporation as a non-profit agency in the State of New York.

But mostly GEMN is people - mission-minded leaders committed to the expansion of the Global Mission of the Episcopal Church.
