GEM Consulting Services

You do not need to reinvent the wheel.  GEM Network consultants have had broad experience in the many aspects of mission and can help you constitute or re-constitute your global mission or companion diocese committees, and/or assist you with your questions regarding mission sending (team orientation, organization, promotion, fund raising) and mission receiving.

GEM Consulting Services draws upon the GEM membership expertise to assist just beginning or struggling mission efforts around the Episcopal Church.  Said in another way, specific dioceses and mission groups can look at and learn from what is being done in other parts of the Church to use that as a "model" which can be adapted for their specific mission relationship.  Based upon the expertise of GEM members, GEM can assist others in setting up viable mission programs.  GEM Consulting Services is provided at cost (transportation, lodging, and other incidental expenses).  The services are available at Provincial, Diocesan, or parish levels.

Furthermore, GEM has a broad scale mission experience such that combined with existing diocesan mission leadership, it offers a weekend (Friday night and Saturday, or Saturday only) Mission Focus Event with mission keynote speakers and specific workshops around the topics such as: the Global Mission Committee, the Companion Diocese Committee, organizing for short-term mission, applied cross-cultural orientation, mission field relationships, deanery projects, diocesan development groups, etc.  If desired, the GEM leaders can speak in area churches on the Sunday following the Mission Focus Event to continue the weekend focus on mission.
