 Companion Diocese: The Diocese is in the initial stages of developing a companion relationship with Haiti. The Diocesan Committee is planning two mission trips in 2010.  St. Luke in Jamestown, NY is sponsoring a group to travel to Honduras in July 2009 on a mission trip to work with orphans. A group of nearly twenty people from Western NY, California and Nevada traveled to an orphanage in Honduras in early 2008.

Western New York had a group go to Camp Coast Care to continue rebuilding in the Mississippi Gulf area.  In the past 4 years this diocese has sponsored five mission trips to assist in the rebuilding of the Gulf area. One person wrote that they worked on a house for a family that was legally blind.  This family was ther every day, thanked them often, helped work on the house and fed them, literally and figuratively. The team came back inspired and motivated.
